Women are our grandmothers, mothers, our sisters, our colleagues, our friends, our wives and our daugthers. Women are proven agents of change. They contribute to the health, safety and productivity of their families, communities and countries, creating a ripple effect that benefits everyone. Empowered women use their voices to speak up for themselves, and more importantly, for others who cannot. We are saying ‘no’ to inequality, but what are we saying ‘yes’ to?

At THE GLOBAL UNION • GU-GHCF - GU’s GLOBAL WOMEN & YOUTH ASSOCIATION, EQUAL & PEACE AFFAIRS (GU-MDGWAEPA), it is our goal to increase women leadership, political participation, enhancing their economic empowerment, ending violence and crime against women and girls, engaging women in all aspects of peace, humanitarian actions, and promoting equality. Self-awareness, experience and education are key areas to focus on to accomplish these goals. Instead of resisting we have to reshape the way we think, to envision a new culture, changing our mindset and attitude, accompanied by an ethical awakening.
